Alannah Temple

Co-Founder · Trainer

Alanah has been delivering autism presentations since 2015, and is an avid advocate for disability rights and inclusion. She has FND and is a mobility aid user. In her spare time, Alanah enjoys going out for walks, eating out and going to the cinema.

“Autism acceptance for myself is the knowledge that my needs are recognised and actions have been put in place to accommodate them. Without acceptance of autism there are no adaptations being made for autistic individuals to feel accepted and safe. People may be aware of my autism but that doesn't necessarily mean they will be accepting when I display more unusual symptoms or request changes to be made so that I can feel comfortable. Awareness means knowing I'm here, acceptance means you understand how much it took for me to be here.”

Greg Smith

Co-Founder · Trainer

Greg has been delivering autism presentations since 2013, and is always eager to bring new creative ideas to the table. In his spare time, Greg likes to spend time with his family, write poetry, hill-walking and playing video games.

“I think working as part of this team has been a magnificently brilliant success for myself and the rest of the team who are part of ATLAS. My work has allowed others to learn from me, and me them, about autism and how it affected me and how they can help others reach their potential in their day-to-day lives. I am looking forward to even more chances to train in the future.”

Kira McCarthy

Co-Founder · Trainer

Has been delivering autism presentations since 2013, and is keen on autism research and creative projects. In her spare time Kira enjoys drawing and painting, videogames and listening to music.

“For me, it’s all about bringing autistic voices to the forefront of the conversation and bringing communities together. ATLAS is a way to bring voices from all experiences together and for us to share our stories in a space where we feel supported, respected and empowered. I love this team and I love what we stand for - and I can’t wait to continue working with the wider community and public to achieve a genuine, lasting, autism friendly environment.”
